On 31 May 2023, Dirk Pijpops, Bart de Boer and me are organising a thematic panel Agent-based Modelling in Historical Sociolinguistics within the Historical Sociolinguistics Network Conference (HiSoN) 2023, taking place from 31 May until 2 June 2023 in Brussels. We will introduce the use of agent-based models to study language variation and change and subsequently several speakers will present linguistic case studies using agent-based models.
